QUADROPHONIA #4 – Neues Museum Nuremberg – Nuremberg – 28/09/19

Quadrophonia # 4.0 is the fourth international festival for experimental surround sound in Nuremberg. It sees itself as a forum for contemporary (electro) acoustic expressions and trends that goes far beyond aesthetic listening habits and consistently breaks with music genre-specific categorizations.

On two days, six international sound artists, electroacoustics, sound researchers and sound designers present themselves both as soloists and as interactants, each of whom has developed her own individual acoustic concepts and individual sound languages.

On Friday and Saturday evening, quadrophone interplays will be held with all six sound artists, and on Saturday afternoon, the sound artists will present themselves in a moderated solo audition with an audience discussion every hour on the hour.
